Business Provider Terms
MyLocalConnect.ca is operated by 1000929814 Ontario Inc.
A clear agreement for businesses
Keep your services and coverage accurate, use customer information only for the requested work, and review the price before responding or subscribing. A connection is an opportunity to speak with a customer; it is not a guaranteed job.
Using MyLocalConnect
These terms apply to business accounts together with the general Terms & Conditions, the billing policy and any specific offer you accept. The person registering must be authorized to act for the business. MyLocalConnect provides marketplace access and connections. It does not perform the customer’s work, employ the business, or guarantee enquiries, replies, contracts, income, rankings or an exclusive territory.
Your profile and qualifications
Keep your business identity, contact details, services, availability and coverage accurate. Maintain the licences, registrations, insurance and permits required for the work you offer. Optional licences and certifications must be truthful and current; adding a document or having a profile approved does not certify your qualifications. Public pages promote service categories. Your business details remain within the authorized private workflows described in the Privacy Policy.
Coverage and request alerts
Each coverage slot is one selected service and one map pin with its own radius. You may repeat the same service in multiple slots for separate locations, choose different services, or use a mix, within your plan’s slot allowance. Each pin counts as one slot, including repeated services and overlapping or identical areas. Overlap does not increase your allowance or create duplicate requests, notifications or response spots for your business. Maximum radius per service pin: Starter 50 km, Growth 60 km and Team 75 km. The Starter trial follows the 50 km limit. Matching uses that service’s coverage and an approximate postal-code location. Matching request alerts remain enabled automatically for eligible business accounts. Eligible businesses can browse matching requests and receive alerts without an active subscription or a positive connection balance. Account verification, profile approval, service coverage and account restrictions still apply. Eligibility is checked again before an alert is sent. An alert does not reserve a response spot, spend a connection or guarantee delivery at a particular time.
Passing on an opportunity
You choose which customer requests to pursue. Before making a connection, you can select Not interested and confirm to permanently remove that specific request from your business’s Opportunities list. This choice applies only to your business. You cannot undo it or restore that same request through your account, an old request link, a different device, or a change to your plan, services or coverage radius. A genuinely new request is a separate opportunity and may still appear if it matches.
Passing uses no connection, does not reveal customer contact details, and does not send the customer a rejection notification. Other eligible businesses can still respond. It is a private list-management choice, not a review or rating of the customer. MyLocalConnect does not guarantee that another suitable opportunity will replace it.
Not interested applies to opportunities you have not connected to. It does not remove an existing connection or conversation, cancel a quote, accepted job or other agreement, cancel a subscription, or change your billing rights. Manage existing work and any cancellation directly with the customer under your agreement and applicable law.
Connections and customer work
Up to five businesses can connect to a request. Review the request and any displayed connection requirement before responding. Connection credits have no cash value and are not a promise of paid work. Agree on the job scope, price, schedule and contract directly with the customer, obtain required permissions and meet your applicable obligations. Report duplicate, wrong-service or other request issues through your Business Portal or support; a report does not automatically create a refund or credit.
Trials, memberships and cancellation
The offer and checkout describe your trial or plan, allowance, taxes, billing frequency and renewal terms. A paid plan requires a separate purchase authorization. Review the final total before paying and keep the confirmation. Use the Business Portal’s cancellation control or contact support to stop future renewals. Deleting a profile, closing an account, leaving a team or unsubscribing from email does not itself cancel a subscription. The billing policy explains cancellation, refunds and applicable rights.
Your account between subscriptions
Your business account remains available without a paid subscription. Ending a trial or subscription does not delete your profile, existing connections or conversations. New customer contact details remain private until you use an available connection. You can cancel future renewals, take a break and purchase a subscription again when you need more connections. Account restrictions, customer privacy choices and request availability still apply. Account closure and deletion requests are available in Privacy & Preferences.
Purchased connection expiry
For payments completed on or after 12 October 2026 at 00:41:40 UTC (11 October 2026 at 8:41:40 p.m. Toronto time), each purchased monthly allowance expires exactly 30 days after verified payment completion. Only unused connections from that allowance expire. Renewing, changing plans or cancelling does not extend that allowance’s deadline. An existing customer connection is not charged again and does not end because an unused allowance expires. Unused balances carried into this update are preserved without a new retroactive expiry. Free trial, referral, partner and management grants follow their separately stated rules. The billing policy explains the transition.
Business referrals
You may share your reusable referral link. For an eligible new business attributed to your link, you receive one connection after its account verifies its email. If that business makes its qualifying first paid-plan purchase within 30 days of account creation, both businesses can receive one extra connection each. Earlier accepted referrals retain their original reward amounts. These are one-time rewards for that referral, not a monthly allowance. Verification, eligibility and the accepted Business Referral Terms apply. Do not create self-referrals, duplicate accounts or misleading invitations.
Read the Business Referral Terms.
Protecting customer information
Use request and contact information to respond to the requested work and manage the resulting relationship. Do not sell, scrape or share it with unrelated businesses, or add a customer to unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis. Restrict access to authorized people and protect copies you keep. Assist with access, correction and deletion requests. Tell MyLocalConnect promptly about a suspected exposure involving platform information.
Team members and integrations
Each authorized team member must use their own account. The business owner is responsible for access granted, outside leads entered and integrations enabled. Obtain appropriate permission for outside records, keep integration keys private, and remove access when someone leaves. An email address or enquiry is not blanket permission to send promotional messages.
Photos, reviews and fair use
Use images and content you have permission to share. Do not invent qualifications, guarantees or reviews, buy fake reviews, pressure customers to remove honest feedback, scrape the marketplace or misuse another person’s account. We may investigate reports and restrict access for misuse, fraud, unpaid amounts owed or a breach of applicable terms. Simply choosing not to renew a subscription does not suspend your account. Contact support to ask for a review of an account or moderation decision.
Communications and preferences
Service messages relate to your account, requests, conversations, payments, security and recorded rewards. Promotional news, offers and referral reminders follow your email preferences. You can stop promotional emails without closing your account. Matching request alerts are part of the business service and are separate from optional promotional emails.
Problems, disputes and rights
Contact support about platform, connection or billing problems. Address the work contract directly with the customer. Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow to be waived. Ontario and applicable Canadian federal law apply, subject to mandatory protections in another applicable jurisdiction.
